Much before the assent of Bollywood's romantic couples Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, the love story of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone was on the top of the chart.

Both Ranbir and Deepika made their debut in 2007 with Saawariya and Om Shanti Om, respectively. Though the release dates of their debut movies clashed, their love story took a different route and kept everyone engaged.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were first seen together in 2008's Bachna Ae Haseeno. The movie which also starred Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Kunal Kapoor among others in prominent characters, proved to be a hit at the Box Office.

Next, the pair was seen together again in 2013's movie Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani (YJHD). The movie helmed by Ayan Mukerji which also starred Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur, apart from Ranbir and Deepika, was declared superhit on Box Office.

Apart from that, Ranbir and Deepika were seen together in Tamasha that came in 2015. Though the viewers appreciated the movie, its deep writing, sheer complexity and the social message, the film was declared a flop on the Box Office.

Whatever may be the verdict of their movies, fans have always loved watching them together and certainly are waiting eagerly for their movies. Though the two are happily committed to their partners, fans love watching their on-screen chemistry.

Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani Sequel On Cards!

Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani was one of the most successful and loved films of that year. Recently, the film completed eight years and different social media platforms got flooded with several posts remembering the movie and their favourite actors.

The posts are evidence of the love and connection of fans with the movie. Undoubtedly, fans could be expecting a sequel of the super-hit movie. If you are among such movie lovers who are eagerly waiting for the Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani sequel, here is something for you that will level up your excitement to the peak!

Earlier in 2018, while promoting Sanju, Ranbir had opened up about the sequel to his 2013's blockbuster movie.

"Ayan is on the journey to make Brahmastra which is very time-consuming. But we have often spoken about Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani Part 2. He also has an idea for it," Bollywood Hungama quoted Ranbir as saying.

"He(Ayan) seldom says we should have just done that it would be an easier film. More easier than Brahmastra, because he is going quite crazy, making this film. You never know. Maybe between Brahmastra Part 1 and 2, we get a window of 6 months,” the Sanju actor added.

Brahmastra, which also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna will be a reunion for Ranbir with Ayan.

Brahmastra believed to be 'a larger than life movie', is in the making for quite a few years now. Owing to the pandemic condition and several other hardships including tough VFX works, the movie is delaying unexpectedly. The movie is tentatively scheduled to release next year.

However, if Ranbir has spoken up about Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani sequel it could be a hint for the same. Fans can expect an official declaration of the sequel movie just before the release of Brahmastra Part 1 and the team could reunite for shooting within the "window of 6 months".

Certainly, the reunion of Ranbir and Deepika would be a treat for fans and would refresh the memories of Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani.
