Kapoors and Khans have been dominating the Hindi film industry since several decades. Apart from them, biggies like the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Mithun Chakraborty, etc made it to the canvas with their larger-than-life characters.
Among the many renowned names, Roshans had earned a good identity in the 80s. Rakesh Roshan as an actor, Rajesh Roshan as a music composer, and Hrithik Roshan from the family went on to become a celebrated and more popular actor than his father Rakesh with his blockbuster movies. Along with that, Papa Roshan also has earned fame as one of the A-listed directors with his blockbuster movies starting from Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun to Krrish 3.
Movie lovers are well aware about the bondage of 80s actors, unlike the recent time. Rakesh Roshan shared a similar friendship bond with Rishi Kapoor and Jeetendra.
Rishi and Rakesh have worked together in movies like Jhootha Kahin Ka, Khel Khel Mein, Aapke Deewane among others. But, apart from sharing screen space in these movies, the two shared a beautiful off-screen friendship bond.
Now it’s been over a year since Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30 leaving cine lovers, family and friends in grief. Though it’s an irreparable loss for all, the legendary actor still remains in everyone’s heart and friends including Rakesh cherish the memories.
During an exclusive interview with Times Of India, Rakesh reminisced an incident when he visited Rishi’s house to meet Neetu, Riddhima and Ranbir.
“My wife Pinkie and I met Neetu, Riddhima and Ranbir. And we didn’t make the ambience gloomy. We were there for 2 to 3 hours and we reminisced Rishi,” TOI quoted Rakesh as saying.
“I kept telling Ranbir my stories with Rishi when we were young. I can never forget the outstation family holidays. We took both Ranbir and Hrithik, they were kids then,” Rakesh added.
During the interview, Rakesh spilled the beans on seeing “Ranbir and Hrithik together in one film.”
“I wish to see Hrithik and Ranbir together in one film,” he said.
When asked about casting the duo, Rakesh said, “Well, I don’t have anything concrete to cast them immediately. For now, even the plans of Krrish 4 are on hold. Let COVID get over and then we shall see.”
Well, cine lovers will definitely love to see the pairing of Hrithik and Ranbir. Nowadays, moviegoers don’t get to watch many multi-starrer movies. If things go on the right track, it will be a treat for all to watch Ranbir and Hrithik together. On one side, Ranbir will captivate the audience with his ‘lover-boy’ image while on the other side, Hrithik will enthrall all with his ‘Greek God’ image and of course, with his dance and action moves.
All have to wait till the pandemic gets over and Papa Roshan makes the ‘Big Announcement.’ Indeed, it will be a big tribute to a great friend and legendary actor- Rishi Kapoor.
