Bobby Deol reveals REAL inspiration behind his iconic Jamal Kudu step in Animal
Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri and Anil Kapoor's Animal emerged as a blockbuster. While the audience highly appreciated Ranbir and Bobby's power-packed performances, the controversies surrounding the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial show no signs of dying down. However, Bobby's iconic steps in Jamal Kudu song continue to remain popular among all. Recently, the Kanguva actor revealed the real inspiration behind the iconic steps in Jamal Kudu.

Notably, Animal became a turning point for Bobby Deol, as his professional career was sinking. With his menacing avatar of Abrar Haque, Bobby impressed moviegoers without uttering a word in the movie. Above all, his moves of balancing a drink on his head in Jamal Kudu became a favourite and it started trending on social media.
Recently, during an interview, Bobby revealed the inspiration behind the viral dance steps in Jamal Kudu.
During his appearance on the third edition of SCREEN, the Soldier actor recalled the dance sequence. He said that when Vanga narrated the scene, he (Vanga) said, "This is your wedding, and you have to dance."
To this, Bobby replied that he couldn't perform choreographed steps and started dancing in his signature style.
However, Vanga said, "Cut, I don’t want my character to look like Bobby Deol; I want it to look like Abrar."
After that Bobby went to Saurav Sachdeva, who played his brother in the movie, and asked how he should dance. As he (Saurav) started dancing, it took him back to his childhood days and the memories.
Bobby recalled his childhood days when they went to Punjab during holidays.
Revealing the real inspiration behind the iconic step, Bobby said, "At night, the men would drink and suddenly a music would play and they would dance to it by putting glasses and bottles on their head."
Thus, Bobby thought of trying it as he knew the steps very well.

Further, talking about the popularity of the dance steps, the Yamla Pagla Deewana actor said, I had no idea my style of dancing would become so popular. I just put the glass on my head and I started dancing, next thing I knew, it just went viral. It’s just amazing."
Well, undeniably, the dance step connected with the common man as it wasn't choreographed. And the rest is history.
