The hype around Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana has remained quite high since the announcement. While earlier reports claimed that Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol and Yash would be playing major roles in the cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic, it was the KGF star who revealed everything about playing Demon King Ravana's role in the movie. Recently, Ranbir also opened up for the first time about playing Lord Ram's role. And now, Sunny Deol has finally opened up for the first time about being a part of Ramayana.

Recently, Ranbir also opened up for the first time about playing Lord Ram's role. And now, Sunny Deol has finally opened up for the first time about being a part of Ramayana.

As per reports, at the third edition of SCREEN Live in Mumbai, Sunny Deol confirmed being a part of Ramayana and shared some insights into it.

The Gadar actor said, "Ramayana is a long project because they are trying to make it the way Avatar and Planet Of The Apes movies were made. All those technicians are a part of it."

Further, the Yamla Pagla Deewana actor, who was accompanied by his brother Bobby Deol, revealed that the writer and director are very clear about the concept and the way it has to be. They are also clear about how to present the characters in the magnum opuses.

Furthermore, Sunny also assured that Ramayana will be visually impressive. He said that the special effects in the movie will make the audience believe that the events have actually happened rather than thinking that those are special effects.

"To be honest, I’m very sure it’s going to be great and I’m sure that everybody will love it,” concluded Sunny.

Although Sunny Deol confirmed being a part of Ramayana, he didn't confirm essaying Lord Hanuman's role in the two-part movie.

Notably, Ramayana: Part 1 will be released in Diwali 2026 and Ramayana: Part 2 will hit the theatres in Diwali 2027. Reports have also been abuzz that Nitesh Tiwari has plans to bring a standalone movie on Lord Hanuman. However, fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the makers.
