Bobby Deol played cupid for Abhishek Bachchan and his 'Crush' Aishwarya Rai!

Actor Bobby Deol turned 56 on January 27 (Monday), 2025. Bobby made his debut in Bollywood as a lover boy and won the hearts of moviegoers. Apart from Bollywood, he has become the most sought-after actor in South Film Industries. As the actor celebrates his 56th birthday, here we bring an interesting anecdote when Bobby Deol played a Cupid for Abhishek Bachchan and his 'Crush' Aishwarya Rai (Bachchan).

Bobby Deol 'Unintentionally' Played Cupid!

Notably, Bobby Deol and Aishwarya Rai worked together in 1997's Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. While he was romancing Aish in the movie, he unintentionally played a Cupid for his co-star offscreen.

Earlier during an interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBicpes, Abhishek opened up about how he met Aish for the first time.

Abhishek recalled, "I first met her (Aishwarya) when I was a production boy. I had been there for a couple of days, all alone."

Notably, Junior Bachchan was in Switzerland doing recce for his father Amitabh Bachchan’s film.

"And that's when a childhood friend of mine, Bobby Deol, was shooting for his first film - Aur Pyar Ho Gaya. And he got to know I was there, and said 'Hey, why don't you come over for dinner?' And that's the first time when they were shooting when I met Aishwarya,” he added.

When asked if he had a crush on Aishwarya, the Dhoom actor replied, "Who doesn't crush on her? I mean, come on, come on.”

Well, who could have even thought that Bobby unintentionally had a hand in her on-screen lover's love life?
