Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is in the headlines for various reasons. Apart from her recent release Do Aur Do Pyaar, the announcement of Vidya reprising her role of Manjulika in Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has extremely thrilled her fans. While moviegoers are excited to see Koki once again as Rooh Baba, the reports of The Dirty Picture girl's dance faceoff with the Dhak Dhak girl have delighted everyone.

Earlier, speculations were rife that Vidya and Madhuri will have a dance faceoff on 'Ami Je Tomar 2.0,' as the Hey Babyy actress is all set to reprise her role as Manjulika. But, Vidya recently spilled the beans that her character in BB3 will be completely different from the original movie.

The iconic character Manjulika from Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) holds a significant place in the hearts of moviegoers as well as Vidya's. She will be reprising the iconic character after almost two decades, which wasn't easy for Vidya. But she affirmed that she won't be recreating the iconic character in the third instalment.

During a recent interview with Mid-Day, Vidya said, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa gave me so much. So, I felt, ‘Should I do another one in the franchise?’ The worry that the sequel won’t match up to the original always plays on an actor’s mind. But I have grown up. This is a completely different film, and there is so much to enjoy in it. I wanted to work with Anees Bhai. I love the script, and because I was a part of the original, this is a whole different high.”

Talking about her character in BB 3, Vidya said, "It is a different time and a different me. The role may be the same, but it has changed (in its own way). My approach is fresh."

Further, talking about her experience of working with Koki, Vidya added, "He and I are different in terms of approach, but what works is that we get along like a house on fire."

Well, Vidya's recent hint about her revamped character of Manjulika might heighten the expectations of moviegoers. Reportedly, Vidya has wrapped up shooting for two parts of this horror comedy film.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is one of the much-awaited movies. Helmed by Anees Bazmee, the horror-comedy is slated for theatrical release on Diwali 2024.
