However, the producer of Anupamaa, Rajan Shahi was quick to respond and clarified that, “Sudhanshu Pandey is an integral part of the serial and he will continue to portray the role of Vanraj as usual.”
However, speculations are rife that the makers of the show will introduce a new male lead. It is believed that the new male lead will play Anupamaa’s love interest.
It is not for the first time that such speculation over Anu’s love interest is doing rounds.
Earlier, there was buzz that Ram Kapoor will be roped in by the makers. Though Apurva Agnihotri entered the show by portraying a special character of Dr. Adi, he was quick to leave the show after Anu’s surgery.
Apart from this, several actors-Sharad Kelkar, Arshad Warsi, Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Vishal Singh- have been considered to play Anupamaa’s love interest.
However, Sharad Kelkar, Arshad Warsi and Ronit Roy clarified that the rumours were not true. As per reports in several sections of the media, the new character is yet to be finalized.
