Andaz Apna Apna 2: Raveena Tandon 'would love to' work with Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor!

Andaz Apna Apna 2 is one of the most-talked-about sequels in Bollywood. While the discussions around Andaz Apna Apna 2 started earlier, the excitement was fuelled after Aamir Khan revealed about it. Now, Raveena Tandon, who was also a part of 1994's Andaz Apna Apna, expressed her desire to work in the sequel.

Helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Andaz Apna Apna achieved cult status for its timeless humour and memorable characters. Apart from Aamir and Raveena, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor and Paresh Rawal played pivotal roles in the movie. Undeniably, movie lovers are still in awe of the iconic characters Amar and Prem in the movie, as well as, Teza and Crime Master Gogo.

The recent hint dropped by Aamir fuelled the excitement among all. Now, the buzz around the sequel seems to have intensified.

Recently, when Raveena was asked if she would like to be a part of the sequel, the actress instantly replied, 'Would love to do it.'

During the interview with India Today, Raveena said, "A good comedy is something I would love to do."

Notably, the Ghazni actor during an Instagram live session on his birthday, revealed that Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of Andaz Apna Apna 2. However, he clarified that still it is in the beginning stage and it is too early to get excited about it.

Earlier, reports suggested that Rajkumar Santoshi was writing the script with the original Amar-Prem in mind. However, the movie's rights remain with the late producer Vinay Sinha’s children.

Reportedly, the Sinha family intended to take the brand ahead with stars from the current crop. Even reports were abuzz in 2019 that the makers were planning a sequel with Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh.

According to a report in Mid-Day, a source said that Santoshi cannot make a sequel without the Sinhas’ go-ahead.

As per the report, the makers are treading cautiously on the matter. They are yet to decide whether to rope in Aamir and Salman with a top director, or cast gen-next stars.

Well, things still remain behind the curtains and there is no certainty about the sequel unless the makers officially announce it. But, fans will certainly love to see the OG cast reprising their roles. Fans need to wait for an official announcement from the makers.
