Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have been under fire ever since the release of their upcoming movie Pathaan’s first song ‘Besharam Rang’.
A section of netizens are irked with Deepika’s ‘saffron bikini’ in the movie and took to social media handles to express their outrage and boycott the movie that is set to be released in January next year.
Twitteratis are trending ‘Boycott Pathaan’ and outraged over several scenes in the song.
Amid the call for boycott, Deepika Padukone, in the wee hours of Saturday, was spotted at the Mumbai airport as she made her way to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Finale at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.
In a rare honour for any Indian or International actor in the history of FIFA, the ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress will unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy in Qatar during the finals. Deepika is the first actor to receive such honour at the world’s most-watched sporting event.
Accompanied by Ranveer Singh, who had come to drop her at the airport, Deepika looked comfy in a hooded windbreaker over a white top and a matching beige pants.
She flashed her million-dollar smile at the paparazzi after one of them asked her to take a selfie with the GOAT Messi.
“Ma’am Messi ke saath ek photo leke daal do, hum bohot bade fan hai,” said the photographer while Deepika in response flashed a huge smile and said, “batati hu.”
The FIFA World Cup final will witness a massive fight at Qatar’s Lusail Iconic Stadium between Lionel Messi's Argentina and Hugo Lloris's France on December 18.
On the professional front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in the film Gehraiyaan. She will make her comeback to the big screen alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in Pathaan.
She also has Fighter with the dashing Hrithik Roshan, the Hindi remake of The Intern, and Project K with pan Indian star Prabhas in the pipeline.
