  • Akshay will soon make his Telugu debut with Vishnu Manchu's movie.
  • Prabhas and Mohanlal have already been roped in to play important roles in this mythological flick.

Akshay Kumar’s latest release Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has flopped badly and is barely managing to survive in theaters. Currently, the actor is facing a lull in his career as his last few movies failed to attract an audience to the theaters. The last big hit of Akshay was Sooryavanshi released in 2021. Despite all the flops his demand has not come down as even the regional directors want him to work with them.

Now Akshay Kumar is gearing up to make his Telugu debut with Vishnu Manchu’s ambitious project Kannappa. It is being touted as one of the most anticipated movies of this year. The multi-starrer movie derives its inspiration from Indian mythology and already has many other big celebrities like Mohanlal and Prabhas on board.

The Bollywood superstar has now joined this star cast for Kannappa in which he is going to make an interesting cameo. Vishnu Manchu announced the addition of Akshay to the star cast on April 16 on his social media platform. He wrote, “The #𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐚🏹 journey just got more thrilling as we welcome the Superstar Mr. Akshay Kumar to the Telugu Film Industry. Thrilled to announce his debut in Telugu cinema with Kannappa. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!”

The social media post also includes a clip that shows Akshay being welcomed by Vishnu and the producer of the movie Mohan Babu. The duo also honoured Khiladi Kumar with a shawl as a part of a warm welcome. In the end, the clip shows Akki, Mohan Babu, and Vishnu discussing the project Kannappa.

Most of the Vishnu Manchu and Akshay fans have hailed it as an epic collaboration. While it is confirmed that Prabhas and Mohanlal too are going to be a part of this movie, it is not clear whether either of these superstars will share the screen.

Kannappa is a story revolving around an ardent bhakt of Lord Shiva whose name was Bhakta Kannappa. Written by Vishnu Manchu and helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh (known for telly epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana) the movie will also feature Sarath Kumar and Brahmanandam in pivotal roles.
