Ajay Devgn, YRF collaboration has never happened; Can they break ice with Dhoom 4?

Yash Raj Films is one of the most famous and leading production houses of Bollywood. Most of the big stars in the Hindi film industry have worked with YRF, rather consider it their privilege to get work offers from them. Be it Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan or even Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor majority of topmost stars have worked with YRF.

But in a career spanning more than three decades Ajay Devgn never worked with the leading production banner. Despite the fact that his wife Kajol delivered her most successful movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge with YRF and has also worked in other movies from the production house Ajay Devgn never collaborated with the topmost banner.

Is there any dispute between Ajay Devgn and YRF?

Ajay Devgn's Bollywood debut movie Phool Aur Kaante was released around the same time as Yash Chopra-directed Lamhe, The famous director had high hopes on this movie as it was his dream project with Sridevi in double role and Anil Kapoor playing the male lead. After Chandni it was his second movie with Sri and he had expected it to become a huge blockbuster.

But Phool Aur Kaante of Ajay Devgn outperformed Lamhe despite huge star cast and YRF banner which had greatly disappointed Yash Chopra. More than a decade later the rivalry between Ajay Devgn and YRF once again came face to face when Yash Raj Films booked all the theaters for Jab Tak Hai Jaan release clashing with Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar which received less single screens for release.

Ajay Devgn through its production house went as far as sending a legal notice to YRF alleging that the production banner is abusing its influence.

Fans demand Ajay Devgn as lead antagonist in Dhoom 4

Ranbir Kapoor is currently being considered as the male lead for Dhoom 4. Reports are that YRF has been considering a South Indian superstar for the role of lead antagonist but are yet to decide on a particular star. However, now fans are demanding that YRF should rope in Ajay Devgn for the main villain role as he has done some fabulous roles as villain in Khakee and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.

If this deal comes through, it will be one of the most solid starcast as Ajay Devgn in a negative role and that too in an action movie is sure to soar the hype for Dhoom 4 even before the release of any poster or teaser.
