After SS Rajamouli's concerns, Deomali Hills undergoes massive transformation
Ace South filmmaker SS Rajamouli, during his visit to Odisha's Koraput to film some major sequences of his upcoming flick SSMB29, went on a solo trek to Deomali Hills. Though the Baahubali maker enjoyed the breathtaking views from atop Deomali Hills, he was disheartened for the waste littered all over the peak. He took to social media and expressed his concerns. After the filmmaker raised concerns, Deomali Hills has undergone massive transformation.
Odisha's socio-political leader Suparno Satpathy on April 9 took to X and shared a few pictures of Deomali Hills. The pictures shows the cleanliness drive carried out atop Deomali Hills with a group of people posing with waste collected in multiple sacks.
He captioned his post, "Friends from Koraput have shared these photos with the office of your’s truly. This cleanliness drive at Deomali is much appreciated. Hope the next time, @ssrajamouli or anyone else visits this place, it’ll be found clean. May good sense prevail. May the divine grace be… SS." (sic)
Responding to this, the RRR helmer wrote, "Grateful to see efforts like these taking shape… Thank you sir for highlighting this. Let’s keep working to protect our natural treasures for the future. The authorities should take necessary steps to keep it clean, and every step towards responsible tourism counts!" (sic)

Reportedly, after wrapping up the shooting schedule in Koraput, Rajamouli went on a solo trek to Deomali Hills to enjoy the scenic beauty. He captured breathtaking views from atop Deomali Peak and also posed for a picture with the scenic beauty in his background.
Though the filmmaker was amazed and mesmerised during his solo trek to Odisha's most highest and stunning peak, he got disheartened to the trail marred by litter. Apart from raising concerns, he also appealed the visitors to carry back their waste to help protect the natural treasures.
