Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan ’s onscreen character ‘Jai Dixit’ in Yash Raj Films' (YRF) Dhoom franchise went on to become iconic. As a cop, Jr Bachchan faced off with John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan. Though the antagonists stole the show in all three instalments, Jr Bachchan as Jai left good impression in the minds of movie lovers.
Now, realising this, YRF has reportedly decided to include Jai Dixit in its Spy Universe. Yes, as per the latest reports, Director and Producer Aditya Chopra has decided to integrate Abhishek Bachchan’s Jai Dixit from Dhoom in the Spy Universe.

PinkVilla quoted a source close to the development as saying, “It is a known fact that in YRF’s spy universe, Pathaan, Tiger and Kabir’s paths are bound to cross each other at some point, making the franchise bigger with every forthcoming film. Dhoom’s Jai Dixit is also an important character backed by the production house, and Adi is keen to integrate him in the upcoming movies.”
Further, the source went on to add, “How that happens is yet to be seen, as concrete writing on that front hasn’t begun yet. However, it is certain that Abhishek Bachchan’s Jai Dixit does have a future in the spy universe. All these films will be mounted on a large scale, and the writers and the filmmakers at YRF are excited to explore this opportunity.”
Despite a rough career graph from the beginning, Abhishek has time and again proved himself with his stellar performances in movies as well as web series. Recently, Jr Bachchan was ranked as the No. 1 OTT Star (Male) in a mood of the nation poll while his father Amitabh Bachchan secured the top spot in India’s No. 1 Hero poll with 29% votes. His onscreen character portrayal in movies like Guru, Bob Biswas, Big Bull, Dasvi and ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows' as well as its second season (web series), added new feathers to his cap.

If the reports are anything to go by, Jr Bachchan as Jai Dixit may share screen space with Pathaan, Tiger and Kabir. While there are reports that Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan may cross paths at some time, it has been confirmed that SRK will have an extended cameo in Tiger 3 as Salman did in Pathaan .
The movies Included in the YRF Spy Universe are Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and the upcoming Tiger 3. The makers have plans of extending the cinematic universe with more projects and Abhishek may appear in any of the future projects.
