From Alpha, Arjun Ustara to Welcome To The Jungle: 5 big Bollywood movies set for tussle in Dec. 2025

Christmas and New Year is the season when many producers plan their big releases in the hope that the holidays can encourage people to watch movies in theaters. And many movies have benefited from such strategies. And that is why the year 2025 will also see a huge lineup of movies scheduled to release in December mostly around Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Alpha

The first female-centric spy movie from YRF led by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh is slated to hit the theaters on December 25, 2025. There are lots of expectations from this flick as Alia is doing action and stunts for the first time whereas Sharvari has already done a bit of action for her movie Vedaa. Hrithik Roshan who plays the role of Kabir – a spy in YRF’s other spyverse will be making a cameo in Alpha.

Arjun Ustara

Another movie that is scheduled to release in December this year is Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara with Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the lead. The movie showcases the happenings in the underworld post-independence. It will hit the theaters on December 5.

Toxic

Toxic will be the first release of Yash after doing two successful movies for the KGF franchise. The movie also stars Nayanthara and Kiara Advani in important roles and there is a strong buzz that it may release around Christmas this year. However, there is no official confirmation yet about the same.

Shakti Shalini

Maddock Films Stree 2 and Munjya surprised Bollywood with their unexpected success in 2024. The production house has announced more movies with different stars to enrich their horror universe. And one such addition is Shakti Shalini led by Kiara Advani which will release on December 31 this year.

Welcome To The Jungle

The third movie from the Welcome franchise is all set to release on Christmas this year. Earlier there were a lot of discussions regarding it being postponed for next year but now reports are adrift that this multi-star cast flick will release on December 27.

With 5 Bollywood movies and one Hollywood flick- Avatar 3 (December 19, 2025) scheduled to release in December and around Christmas time there is going to be a tough competition among them to attract more audience. However, the fans are in a win-win situation as they will have a plethora of choices to select from.
