High Points in Deepika’s Career
Deeps made a smashing entry with a dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan which escalated her to stardom with just one movie. But it took her a few more films to confirm that she is here to stay. Movies like Cocktail and Love Aaj Kal established that she is a good actress whereas films like Chennai Express, Yeh Jaawaani Hai Deewani, Happy New Year and Piku confirmed her superstardom.
This Bollywood success also helped her to get a notable role in Vin Diesel’s Hollywood flick XXX: Return of Xander.

Chhapaak and Other Controversies
Deepika started her production with Chhapaak in 2020. But instead of attracting a good collection at the box office, the biopic on the life of an acid survivor rather was slammed because Deeps stood in solidarity with the JNU protestors and visited them during the promotion of Chhapaak. She was slammed and trolled badly for supporting them.

The comment of Deeps related to mental illness after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput also led to a lot of uproar on social media. And when she was allegedly linked to drugs during the SSR-related drug case, the trolling turned to abuse and the actress even lost a few of her reputed endorsements in the process. She also was exposed to a lot of flak for auctioning the clothes that she wore for the funerals of Jiah Khan and Priyanka Chopra’s father.

Deepika Padukone Affairs Have Always Grabbed Headlines
In the early part of her career when the Tamasha actress was into modeling, she dated famous models like Nihaar Pandya and Upen Patel. Later on, her name was also linked to MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh. But it was her love affair and breakup with Ranbir Kapoor that was much discussed in tabloids.

Deepika even had tattooed Ranbir’s name on her neck but later on, she reportedly removed it after they had a bitter breakup. Post Ranbir, she also reportedly dated Siddharth Mallya but their's was a very short affair that also ended in a bitter way. It was also rumoured that post her breakup with Siddharth, she dated Ibrahim Muzamil and finally found love and stability in Ranveer Singh who is now her husband.
