The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced an online course on Research Methodology in Education for the year 2021- 22.
As per an official notification, it will be a four-credit online course and has been specially developed for research scholars/fellows, teachers and teacher educators working in educational institutions.
The four- credit online course will be of six month duration and there will be 19 modules. One module will be provided for one week.

Discussion meetings (synchronous communication) will be conducted with participants to solve their quarries. Participants are expected to study minimum for two hours per week.
The participants shall be required to prepare a proposal of Research in their respective areas of work.
Who can join?
- Research Scholars/Fellows and Teachers
- Teacher Educators working in the field of education having background of research.
-The persons should have working knowledge of computer or familiarity with the simple operations of working with computer.
Course Fee
-Rs. 3000 for candidates working in Government Institute/Research Scholars/Fellows
-Rs. 1000 for candidates working in Private Institute/Research Scholars/Fellows
-No fee for the internal staff of the NCERT that is, NIE, RIEs, CIET, CIVE
Requirements
The participants should have access to the computer system with internet facility to participate in the day-to-day activities. In addition, the participants should also be skilled for accessing the webcam along with the headphone so that the chat and other features can be fully utilized.
