The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) 2022 on July 17, but the demand to postpone the medical entrance exam doesn't seem to die down soon.

After urging the Union Education Minister and the PMO, students have now reportedly submitted a 19-page memorandum to the Ministry of Education citing their issues and demanding immediate postponement of the NEET-UG exam.

As per reports, the memorandum read, "This year NEET-(UG)- 2022 is scheduled on 17th July and the counseling was completed in April 1st week. While in some states the counseling & seat allotment process was continued even after the period of about 6 to 8 months for the next attempt after all the admission process are completed and the new academic session is started."

It continued, "This year students are barely getting 3 months cooling period. This abrupt reduction in time of preparation has created a situation of distress amongst the students who are participating till the last round of counseling and are stressed that they may miss the chance this year by a margin of very less marks."

It is pertinent to mention here that the students have been demanding to postpone the NEET UG 2022 at least by 90 days or till September which will give them ample time for preparation.

On the other hand, the NTA is likely to release the NEET UG admit card soon. Around 18 lakh students have reportedly registered for the annual medical entrance exam for admission into medical institutions across the country.

Once the admit card is released,  those who had registered themselves for the NEET UG exam can download their admit card by visiting the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in) or NEET (neet.nta.nic.in).
