Morning classes extended
With heat and humidity prevailing across the State, the Odisha government has decided to extend the morning classes in school from Standard-I to XII by one more day.
In a press release quoting the School and Mass Education department, the Information and Public Relations department informed that morning classes will be held on June 21 (Tomorrow) from 6:30 AM till 10:30 AM.
The release also stated that normal classes will resume from June 22 onwards.
Earlier in the day, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond had said, “We had directed the District Collectors to commence morning schools in districts that are likely to receive rainfall and have favourable weather conditions. In districts, that are still reeling under heat, Collectors were given the authority to take necessary decisions taking into consideration the prevailing hot and humid weather conditions."
