The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued an important notice for its students regarding the validity of exemption benefits.

In the notice, IGNOU has clearly stated that the benefits of exemption given during the period of Covid-19 pandemic can be availed by the students till the maximum duration/expiry of the validity of the programme already prescribed as per the rules of the University.

It is pertinent to mention here that the University had exempted the students of intermediate years/ semesters of selected bachelor's degree and master's degree programmes from appearing in the term-end exam/ courses registered in July 2019, January 2020 admission sessions as per the notification issued in December 2020.

Similarly, as per the notification issued in March 2022, the IGNOU had also exempted the students of intermediate years/ semesters from appearing in the term-end exam/ courses registered in July 2020, January 2021 admission session.

In another notice, the IGNOU has released guidelines for national feature writing competition. The theme of the feature writing competition is ‘Nation Building in Amrit Kaal and Indian Youth: Swami Vivekananda as a Source of Inspiration.’

Prizes Total nine prizes. Three prizes in each language separately: 1st Prize (Rs 5,000 & Certificate), 2nd Prize (Rs 3,000 & Certificate), 3rd Prize (Rs 2,000 & Certificate). E-certificates will also be given to other 20 participants (in each language) who will submit quality features.
