Girls outshined boys in this year BSE Odisha Class 10 exams results of which were announced on Friday. 

Significantly, no school has secured zero results in the examination.

According to the BSE, as many as 5,74, 125 regular students from 8934 schools across the State had filled the form and a total of 5,62,010 students have passed, with 97.89 per cent result. 

Out of the passed students, while 2,81,658 were female students, 2,80,352 were male. 

As many as 4412 students were absent.

Similarly, 53,279 ex-regular students had filled form from 7,271 schools across the State. A total of 47,060 students passed with 88.33 per cent result. Out of them 2,7,094 were male students while 1,9,966 were female. As many as 1810 students were absent.

Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash informed that cent percent results have been recorded in 5945 schools. Nil result has not been witnessed in any institution.

As per the data released by the BSE, a total of 7703 students have failed in class 10. While 4412 students are considered absent, the marks of 2256 students have been withheld by their schools.

In terms of the gradation of results, 2656 candidates have been evaluated under A1 category, 22131 under A2, 52199 under B1 and 94475 under B2.
