Lakhs of students are now waiting anxiously for the publication of results of Class 10 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The Board is yet to announce the final date even though the results are expected to be announced by July 15. It is for the first time that the CBSE Class 10 board results would be announced without the conduct of the examination.

The board exams were cancelled on April 15 in view of the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Subsequently, the CBSE announced an assessment scheme for students for the tabulation of marks on May 1.

As per the announcement, the results will be tabulated based on the performance of students in unit tests, half-yearly examination and pre-board examination which were conducted by their respective schools.

The CBSE had informed the Supreme Court that if a student is not satisfied with the assessment then he/she can appear for the examination once the situation (COVID19) normalises.

Apart from Class 10, the Class 12 board exam results will be released by July 31, 2021.

The board had also informed the Apex court that the Class 12 final results will be decided on the basis of performance in Class 10 (30 per cent weightage), Class 11 (30 per cent weightage) and Class 12 (40 per cent weightage).

On account of wide spread, the CBSE has been frequently issuing circulars advising students and their guardians not to believe in news and other information being shared/circulated on social media.

As far as the CBSE Class 10, 12 board exam results are concerned, the students should always visit the official website for all updates and results. The students need to click on the official website of the board, cbse.gov.in to check their results. Alternatively, students can directly click on cbseresults.nic.in to access the result.
