In yet another incident that has raised serious concerns over the law and situation in the State Capital city of Bhubaneswar, as many as 10 unidentified armed miscreants attacked a bike-borne youth near the Kalinga Stadium square on Monday evening, leaving him seriously injured. 

As per reports, the victim suffered multiple injuries in the attack and was rushed to the Capital Hospital by the police.
Sources identified the victim as Bubul Samantaray, a resident of Behera Sahi in Nayapalli.

Meanwhile, the victim has alleged that the group attack was over a past enmity. The miscreants attacked him with bricks and damaged his two-wheeler bike. 

"PCR van and a police team including the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) immediately reached the spot and rushed the injured youth to the Capital Hospital. More relevant information can be ascertained after the probe, said Umashankar Dash, DCP, Bhubaneswar.

Moreover, Dash said patrolling has been intensified in the area to maintain law and security. "We have identified a few of the miscreants and we will analyse different cases of snatching and other crimes to identify others," he added.

The incident on the busy road occurred at a time when people across the Capital city are active with the festive shopping and the market places, as well as roads, are bustling with crowd and the Commissionerate Police was gearing up to impose night curfew in the Capital City after 8PM.
