In her complaint, the victim staff nurse alleged that the accused constable had been harassing her for the last one year and was pressuring her for a relationship.

A constable has been detained on charges of misbehaving and thrashing a staff nurse in the Jajpur district. The accused constable, Jitendra Biswal is posted at Rambag outpost under Dasarathpur block of the district.

In her complaint, the victim staff nurse alleged that the accused constable had been harassing her for the last one year and was pressuring her for a relationship.

As the staff nurse did not accept his proposal, the accused constable allegedly started harassing her. It is alleged that the accused constable allegedly barged into the house of the victim and made love advances which was rejected by the victim.

“The constable has been following and harassing me for the last one year. Yesterday, I approached police after he thrashed me,” alleged the victim.

Jajpur SP informed that the concerned constable has been detained and appropriate departmental proceedings will be initiated after the probe.

Meanwhile, no comments could be obtained from the accused constable.
