Nayapalli police in Bhubaneswar has issued a summon notice to Odia television actress Rashmirekha Ojha's boyfriend Santosh Patra. Patra was in a live-in relationship with the actress, who was found dead in her rented house recently.
As there is no trace of Patra since the death of the actress, the summon notice has been handed over to his family members. He has been asked to appear at Nayapalli police station immediately and cooperate in the investigation.
Earlier, the family members of the actress had held Patra responsible for her death.
The deceased's ex-boyfriend Raja will also be brought under the purview of investigation, the police said.
Yesterday, the post-mortem report of Rashmirekha mentioned hanging as a possible cause of death. The findings of the autopsy report said that there were no internal or external injury marks on Rashmirekha’s body. Rashmirekha had possibly died 24 to 36 hours prior to the conduct of the post-mortem, the report added.
It is pertinent to mention here that Rashmirekha’s body was found hanging in her rented house at Gadasahi in Nayapalli area of Bhubaneswar on June 20.
