With sustained interrogation of accused Gopal Krishna Das in the high-profile murder of Naba Das continuing for the second day, the Odisha Police Crime Branch shared the findings of the investigation so far. 

As per the Crime Branch, the accused gave the lead during interrogation about throwing a handwritten paper, in which he had noted down in detail his motive behind the crime, in the toilet of Airport Police Station, Jharsuguda.

"Some pieces of handwritten papers as narrated by the accused have been recovered. These will be sent to forensics and handwriting experts for reconstruction and examination," the Crime Branch said in a statement. 

The probe agency reportedly has also recovered one fired bullet, 'a vital piece of evidence.'

"Inspection of the vehicle and the crime spot by scientific officer and ballistic experts using FARO 3-D scanner has led to recovery of one fired bullet which is a valuable piece of evidence," said the Crime Branch.

Meanwhile, verification of medical treatment records and financial behavior of accused Gopal Krishna Das is continuing, informed the Crime Branch.   

Moreover, according to Crime Branch sources, interrogation of the elder brother of the accused at Berhampur has been done.
