Man unleashes terror by wielding sword at Odisha Gramya Bank in Dhenkanal

Panic gripped the staff of Odisha Gramya Bank at Muktaposi under Kamakshyanagar in Dhenkanal district after a man created a ruckus by wielding a sword on Monday.

As per reports, utter chaos prevailed at the bank premises soon after it opened for regular transactions during the first half of today. There were a lot of customers as well as others when the accused man came to the bank premises. Those present were taken aback after seeing the man holding a sword and hurling abuses at the bank staff.

Though the exact reason why the man created a ruckus and issued threats is not clear, it is suspected that the accused was under the influence of some narcotics.

Meanwhile, the security guard of the bank sustained injuries when he tried to snatch the sword from the man. The security guard sustained the injury in his hand during his attempt to overpower the man.

Later, police reached the bank after getting information about the incident. However, the accused had left the bank premises after creating a ruckus and unleashing terror.
