Man hacked to death in full public view in Odisha’s Ganjam
In a deeply disheartening incident, a man was brutally attacked by a group of men, leading to his death in Sama village under Purushottampur police limits in Odisha's Ganjam district. The deceased has been identified as Sumant Mohapatra, a resident of Sikula village.
Previous enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the attack. Sumant faced this tragic assault while he was returning home late Friday night. He was rushed to Berhampur-based MKCG Medical College and Hospital with severe injuries where he succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Late Night Assault
The attack occurred as Mahapatra was making his way home late at night. According to reports, a group of attackers ambushed him, wielding weapons and inflicting severe injuries. He was immediately transported to the Berhampur MKCG Medical College Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. Despite the medical team's efforts, he could not be saved.
