The Kegaon Police in Kalahandi district, which was already in the eye of the storm for their alleged inaction in connection with the alleged abduction and murder of school teacher Mamita Meher, may land in trouble once again as Radhe’s wife has come up with serious allegations against the officials of the police station.
Radhe, believed to be a close aide of the main accused Gobinda Sahu, was arrested and forwarded to the SDJM court on Thursday.
Radhe was arrested based on the revelations made by Sahu during his custodial interrogation by the Bolangir Police.

Asha Chandi, the wife of Radhe told the media persons that she had handed over a bag stuffed with three pairs of ladies clothes, a mobile phone, a charger and some medicines to some officials of the Kegaon Police. The bag was brought to the house by Radhe over some ten days back, she said.
“The bag was kept under the bed and I was about to present it before the media but Kegaon Police snatched it away from me. They have also warned me not to mention anything about the bag to anyone and hurriedly left the house,” claimed Asha Chandi.
Asha Chandi further stated that Radhe started working for Gobinda Sahu some three months back and used to drive his vehicles.
“My husband is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in the case. After working for some days for Gobinda, he told that he won’t work there anymore and will start farming activities. He (Radhe) has not murdered the girl,” claimed Radhe’s wife.
Worth mentioning here is that the inspector-in-charge (IIC) of Kegaon police station has already been suspended for dereliction of duty in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, if the recovered mobile phone from Radhe's house is found to be of Mamita, which Gobinda claimed to have buried in the pit with her body, it could be a vital input and help the police investigation.
Earlier in the morning today, a team of Bolangir police took the accused Gobinda Sahu to the crime spot- the Mahaling stadium- to recreate the incident .
Police took Sahu to the stadium in the wee hours today where Gobinda gave the demonstration on how he killed and buried the lady teacher of Sunshine Model School. The entire episode went on for around 10 to 15 minutes.
