The Commissionerate Police will again take Hansita Abhilipsa, the fraudulent tycoon and real-life ‘Babli’ accused of duping several high-profile personalities in the state, on remand for further investigation into the case.

Along with Hansita, her partner in crime, Anil will be quizzed by a dedicated team of Commissionerate Police, informed Twin City Police Commissioner S Debadatta Singh on Friday.

Recent findings pointed to the potential involvement of influential individuals within the corporate sector as well as several politicians in this trafficking network. It is alleged that Hansita Abhilipsa used to arrange ‘sex workers’ and young girls for influential persons, businessmen, and politicians to facilitate business agreements or secure political leverage.

It is pertinent to mention here that both Hansita and her aide, Anil Mohanty, were arrested by police in Bhubaneswar on December 31 for siphoning off funds by posing as the daughter and son-in-law of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Principal Secretary PK Mishra.
