The woman identified as Suhana Parwin first threw Tairuddin into the river and later jumped as well in a bid to end her life.

After throwing her 10-year-old minor son, a woman jumped into the Chitrotpala River in the Nemala area of Cuttack district on Wednesday. While the body of the minor has been fished out of the river, his mother is still missing. The deceased has been identified as Sk Tairuddin.

As per initial reports, the woman identified as Suhana Parwin first threw Tairuddin into the river and later jumped as well in a bid to end her life. “My mother had brought us for blood test of my younger brother. First, she threw my brother into the river and jumped after him,” said deceased SK Tairuddin’s sister.

SK Abbas Uddin, brother of the missing woman said, “My sister was worried as she had taken some group loan along with her sister. She had taken some 7 loans and did not listen to me. I do not what transpired between the two sisters. The group members were demanding money. ”

Meanwhile, efforts are on by the Odisha Fire Services Personnel to trace the missing woman.
