The Odisha Crime Branch, probing the high-profile intel leak case at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Chandipur made another startling revelation on Friday.
Prashant Kumar Bisoyi, Additional SP of the Crime Branch said that one of the accused had received marriage proposal from the presumed lady handler in the spy ring.
‘Basant Behera had leaked secret information regarding missile test to the mysterious woman after she put forward a marriage proposal to him,” Bisoyi said.

The seven-day remand of the five accused arrested in connection with the case came to an end today. However, the probe agency has not appealed for further remand of the accused.
Bisoyi said gadgets like laptops and mobiles seized from the accused will be sent for forensic analysis and if necessary the accused will be taken on remand again.
“During the interrogation, we found foreign transactions of Rs 24,000 and Rs 14,000 in the bank account of one of the accused. The money was transferred from Dubai,” the ASP said.
“Laptops of three accused have been seized. The gadgets will be sent for forensic analysis. After analysis reports arrive, further investigation will be carried out,” he said.
Speaking about Sachin Kumar, one of the drivers of ITR director, Bisoyi said, “He had conversation with two-three girls. We can learn details after retrieving his chat history,” he said.
