In a broad daylight robbery, two motorcycle-borne miscreants fled after snatching a bag containing Rs 12 lakh from a person near Apartibindha SBI branch in Bhadrak on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Ashok Ku Khillar, a local resident.

As per reports, the victim had withdrawn cash from the bank and was keeping the bag inside the side box of the vehicle. The miscreants who were keeping a close eye on the victim snatched the bag and vanished into the air.

Reportedly, the victim had withdrawn the amount for some property deals.

“I work at Agarpada High School and I am a local resident and came to the bank to withdraw the money. The miscreants came and snatched the bag and fled,” said the victim.

Locals tried to stop them but failed to act decisively as the thieves sped away on a vehicle
