A sub-inspector in Angul district was arrested on Friday for allegedly misbehaving with a woman at her house late last night in an inebriated condition.
The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The accused has been identified as Nilamani Mohanty- a sub-inspector at Banarpal police Station.

According to reports, Mohanty was former defence personnel. He has been appointed as a sub-inspector at the police station on a contractual basis following his retirement from service.
During highway patrolling duty on Thursday night, Mohanty allegedly knocked the door of a house at Angarua village at around 3 AM in an inebriated condition. When, the woman opened the door, Mohanty abused her verbally. The woman tactfully shot the entire incident on his mobile phone.
Subsequently, the woman lodged a complaint and at Talcher Police Station and provided the video as evidence in the morning. Later, the sub-inspector was arrested following a primary investigation into the incident.
"After a primary investigation on the basis of the complaint and the video, we found the incident true and arrested the accused. He will be forwarded to the court today. Further investigation into the incident is underway," said a police official.
