Burglars yet again struck two flats in an apartment and looted gold ornaments worth over lakhs of rupees in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday night, leaving the Commissionerate Police at their wits’ end and giving the residents of the capital city sleepless nights.

The entire theft has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in Satyabadi Residency, the targeted apartment under Mancheswar Police limits.

In the CCTV footage, it can be seen two masked miscreants carrying weapons entering into the apartment. However, it is yet to be ascertained how many burglars were involved in the loot.

On being informed, a team from Mancheswar Police Station reached the spot and launched a probe. They are analysing the CCTV footage and have launched a manhunt.

Notably, burglars have been targeting apartments over the last couple of months. In an attempt to nab the miscreants, the Commissionerate Police had pasted images of suspected looters at different locations, particularly at crowded places last month. The images were derived from the CCTV footages collected from the targeted apartments.

However, on January 18, the Commissionerate Police had busted an inter-state gang by arresting its two members.
