Bike-borne miscreants slit class 10 student’s throat in Cuttack’s Athagarh

A class 10 student sustained critical injuries after two bike-borne miscreants slit his throat at Kuleilo village in Athagarh of Cuttack district. The incident occurred when the student was returning home after his tuition.

Sources said that the student had halted at a shop to buy biscuits when two miscreants came to the spot on a bike and slit his throat. Both the miscreants had worn helmets. The exact reason behind the attack on the student is unclear.

Following the incident, the student was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Later, the family members lodged a formal complaint at Athagarh Police Station in connection with the incident.

The family members stated that they are unaware of the exact motive behind such an attack as they do not have any enmity with others. However, things are likely to get cleared only after a detailed investigation.
