Bhubaneswar double murder over parking: Two persons detained by police 

The Commissionerate Police on Saturday detained two persons for their alleged involvement in murdering two persons over a parking dispute at Kalayani Plaza Annex near Hitech Apartment under Airfield Police limits in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday night. 

While the police are yet to reveal the identities of the detained persons, they seized the bike used by the miscreants to flee from the crime scene. 

Sources said, Rashmi Ranjan Sethi had several rounds of altercation with the maintenance in charge of Kalyani Plaza, identified as Bapi, and had a brawl on Tuesday night over car parking.

On Wednesday night, Bapi again picked up a quarrel with Rashmi Ranjan. Losing his cool, Rashmi slapped Bapi. 

Fumed over Rashmi Ranjan’s behaviour, Bapi and his associate allegedly chased the former and attacked him with sharp weapons causing his death on the spot, sources said, adding that the assailants also attacked Julu when he tried to resist them. Julu succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital.
