Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida
The SOP of the BJP government’s much-awaited Subhadra Yojana will be out on August 15, informed Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Saturday.
Since day one of BJP coming to power, people, especially women, have been eager to know about the criteria to receive a voucher of Rs 50,000 under the Subhadra Yojana. After August 15 when the SOP of the yojana will be out, it will be clear who will be eligible and who won’t. It is believed that most likely Income Taxpayers may be excluded from the beneficiary list.

“What we committed to give to the people, we will give it on September 17. On August 15, its SOP will be out. It will contain the criteria for a woman to receive the money. But there wouldn’t be complexities for women. We are coming to know about women getting exploited, filling up forms and paying money to get an Income Certificate. It seems to me that the AADHAAR card will be enough for all. Women shouldn’t be worried,” said Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who is also the Minster of Women and Child Development, Mission Shakti and Tourism.
The budget for the yojana is Rs 10,000 crore. If required, it will be increased, she added.
