Bhubaneswar: In view of the recent unprecedented surge in Covid-19 in Odisha, the State government has summoned all the final year MBBS students, Homeopathic and Ayush doctors, PG doctors, interns for Covid-19 management.

“All the doctors belonging to OHMS cadre, OMES cadre, AYUSH, dental surgeons, all PG

doctors, post PG doctors, interns, all final year students along with nursing and paramedical staff are temporarily brought under the State pool for their deployment as per need to different institutions for the effective management of Covid-19 management,” stated the order issued by the State Government on Friday.

It is worth mentioning that Odisha witnessed the biggest single-day spike in new Covid-19 infections and deaths. As many as 12,238 fresh cases were reported in last 24 hours. Virus claimed lives of 19 persons during the period.
