HDFC Bank
HDFC Bank has notified customers that a few of its customer support channels, including WhatsApp ChatBanking and SMS banking, will be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled system upgrades aimed at improving user experience.
The maintenance window will begin at 11:00 PM on August 22, 2025, and continue until 6:00 AM on August 23, 2025, lasting for about seven hours.
During this period, the following services will remain inaccessible:
• Phone Banking IVR
• ChatBanking via WhatsApp
• SMS Banking
• Email and Social Media support
However, the toll-free number for hotlisting cards or accounts will continue to operate, ensuring emergency assistance is available.
Despite the temporary suspension, customers can still access essential banking facilities through:
• PhoneBanking Agent services
• HDFC Bank NetBanking
• MobileBanking App
• PayZapp
• MyCards
• HDFC NetBanking Access
With NetBanking, customers can perform over 200 different transactions online anytime, anywhere, without visiting a branch. Every HDFC Bank account comes with a NetBanking facility by default. Those who haven’t activated it yet can register online at no additional cost, provided they have a mobile number registered with the bank.
How to register for HDFC Bank net banking online:
Step 1: Enter Customer ID
Step 2: Confirm registered mobile number
Step 3: Input OTP (One Time Password) which you have received on your mobile
Step 4: Select and input debit card details
Step 5: Set your IPIN
Step 6: Login to NetBanking using the newly set IPIN.
How to register for net banking through an HDFC ATM
Step 1: Visit the nearest HDFC Bank ATM
Step 2: Enter HDFC Bank Debit Card number and ATM PIN
Step 3: Select Other Option from main screen
Step 4: Select net banking registration and click on confirm
Step 5: PIN for net banking will be couriered to you.
