Bengaluru Techie Shoots Wife Days After Divorce Notice
A man allegedly murdered his wife in Bengaluru on Wednesday, just a week after she sent him a divorce notice. The man reportedly fired his wife, Bhuvaneshwari, four times after she returned home after work, and surrendered at a police station after the murder.
The victim was rushed to Shanbhog Hospital but succumbed to her injuries on the way.
The accused, identified as a 40-year-old man, Balamurugan, was a software engineer and worked in a private firm; he has been unemployed for the last four years.
Bhuvaneshwari, 39, was an assistant manager with Union Bank of India.
The couple has been married since 2011, but has frequent fights and disputes. Reportedly, they were living separately for more than a year due to marital disputes.
The woman stayed with the children in Rajajinagar. According to the police reports, the man suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship, which led to frequent arguments.
About a week ago, Bhuvaneshwari had served a divorce notice on Balamurugan.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are also examining how the accused procured the firearm.
