Deadline for HSRP affixation ends on Nov 30 for these vehicles; check latest STA notification

The Odisha State Transport Authority (STA) on Tuesday released an important notification regarding the deadline for affixation of High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) on old vehicles registered prior to April 1, 2019.

STA has said that the deadline for HSRP affixation for vehicles whose registration number ending with 1, 2, 3 and 4 ends on November 30, 2022.

“The vehicle owners are requested to take necessary steps to get the HSRP affixed on their vehicle as per timeline,”the STA said in a release.

Joint Commissioner Transport (Technical) Dipti Ranjan Patra said, “HSRP has been affixed in 15,30,576 vehicles against a total of 31,25,236 vehicle owners who have booked slot as on November 14.

It is pertinent to mention here that the transport department has already extended the deadline for HSRP affixation three times in the past.

The state government had recently announced that vehicle owners, who do not have access to the internet or do not have knowledge of technology, can apply for HSRP through nearby Mo Seva Kendra or HSRP facilitation centres at RTO as per their convenience.
