According to a notification issued by the Commerce and Transport department the deadline has been extended to February 2023.

“The Odisha government has been pleased to approve your proposal for extension of timeline for fixation of HSRP in old vehicles registered prior to 01.04.2019 up to February, 2023,” the notification read.

Revised Timeline For HSRP

  • Vehicles carrying Odisha registration mark and registration number ending with 1,2,3 and 4: November 30, 2022
  • Vehicles carrying Odisha registration mark and registration number ending with 5 and 6: December 31, 2022
  • Vehicles carrying Odisha registration mark and registration number ending with 7and 8: January 31, 2023
  • Vehicles carrying Odisha registration mark and registration number ending with 9 and 0: February 28, 2023

It is worthwhile to mention here that, this is the second time when the State government has extended the deadline to affix HSRP in vehicles.

Earlier, the State Transport Authority (STA) had extended the deadline by one month up to January 31.

Besides, the STA had previously requested the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) to make necessary arrangements to facilitate HSRP booking facilities at Mo Seva Kendras across the State for people who may not have access to the internet or do not have knowledge of technology to apply online.

The STA has also asked all OEMs (Vehicle Manufacturers) to open the HSRP help desk at all RTO & ARTO offices to provide HSRP booking facility to vehicle owners at RTO offices.

The OEMs were also instructed to organise camps at 88 locations and other places where dealer network of all OEMs is not available.
