Saif Ali Khan stabbing case: 2.5 inches of knife recovered from actor’s wound
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was reportedly attacked with a 2.5 inch knife by an assailant who barged into his Bandra house through his youngest son, Jeh’s room.
As per media reports, doctors removed the 2.5 inches of knife from his wound. The actor, who underwent a surgery, has now been shifted to the ICU and is said to be out of danger.
A team of doctors taking care of Saif’s medical requirements spoke with the media on Thursday. Doctor Nitin Dange, who was part of the surgery, told the media, "Saif Ali Khan was admitted in at 2:00 am. He sustained major injury to the spinal cord, in the thoracic spinal cord due to the lodged knife in the spine. Surgery was performed to remove the knife and also repair the leaking spinal fluid. Two other deep wounds on his left hand and neck were repaired by the plastic surgery team. He is completely stable now and recovering well”.

Saif Ali Khan stabbing case: Lilawati hospital issues official statement
Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed by an unidentified person during a burglary at his home, has “six stabs” out of which “two are deep”, said the doctor from  Lilavati Hospital. 
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said that Saif was stabbed by an unidentified person at his Bandra home and was brought in at 3: 30 am.
Uttamani said that Saif has six stabs and two are deep.
“This one is close to the spine.He is being operated upon by a team of doctors led by Neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain anaesthetiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi,” said Uttamani.

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan’s team has issued a statement on behalf of the actor and confirmed that there was an attempted burglary and it also mentioned that he is undergoing surgery.  
“There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter,” read the official statement issued by the actor’s team.
