Saif Ali Khan’s vital organs are safe, piece of knife found during surgery

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's vital organs are safe after a stabbing incident at his Bandra home. Doctors at Lilavati Hospital removed a knife piece during surgery, with no critical injuries reported.

In a crucial update for fans and the entertainment industry, doctors at the Lilavati Hospital, where Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is currently undergoing treatment for stab wounds, stated that the actor’s vital organs are safe.

The Hindustan Times quoted doctors at the hospital saying that Khan was ‘lucky that the stabs have not affected any vital organs’. Further, the star is also reported to have received 10 stitches for the wounds and is able to move his hand and body.

At about 2:30 am on Thursday, an unidentified intruder broke into Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra residence and reportedly engaged in aggressive behaviour towards one of his maids. The actor is said to have attempted to approach the man and pacify him while also ending up receiving six stab wounds.

Online media reports also mentioned that of the six wounds, two were deep, two were mild, and two were on the skin level. Additionally, his spine is also stated to be safe, countering earlier reports of one of the stabs being close to it.

Incidentally, during surgery, doctors reportedly found a piece of knife lodged in one of his stab wounds. However, it has been removed and handed over to police as evidence.

Till the last reports came in, the Bollywood star was stated to have received neurological surgery on his back; and, cosmetic surgery was underway. As such, there are no reports of any criticality as of now.

Meanwhile, police are actively probing the incident and investigating all angles and some reports claim that CCTV footage has no sign of any intruder before two hours of the attack.
