Kareena Kapoor was enjoying girls' night out when Saif Ali Khan was attacked?

The reports of actor Saif Ali Khan being stabbed by a suspected burglar have sent ripples through the entertainment industry. With major stab injuries, the actor has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai where his condition reportedly remains critical.

Meanwhile, many reports claimed that the actor's wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan was with her sister Karisma Kapoor, and producer Rhea Kapoor and her sister, actor Sonam Kapoor on Wednesday night.

As per Karisma’s Instagram stories, the two sisters were having a girl’s night out with Rhea and Sonam. However, at the time of the incident, she and the children were at home. Sources close to the actress said Kareena Kapoor Khan was indeed at the Bandra home during the attack. 

“The family, including wife Kareena and kids Taimur and Jeh were also home. It is said that Saif took on the burglar head-on to protect his family,” the sources said.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan’s team issued a statement on behalf of the actor and confirmed that there was an attempted burglary and it also mentioned that he is undergoing surgery. 

“There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter,” read the official statement issued by the actor’s team.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said that Saif was stabbed by an unidentified person at his Bandra home and was brought in at 3: 30 am. Uttamani said that Saif has six stabs and two are deep.

“This one is close to the spine. He is being operated upon by a team of doctors led by Neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain anaesthetiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi,” said Uttamani.
