Saif Ali Khan
The stabbing incident of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan by an unidentified intruder at his Bandra residence in the wee hours of Thursday has sent a shockwave.
As per current reports, the actor has undergone neurological surgery and is in the process of receiving a cosmetic one. Fortunately, doctors at the Lilavati Hospital And Research Centre, where he is currently admitted, stated that the stab wounds missed his vital organs saving him from further grievous casualties.
However, the attacks are still severe in nature. Out of the six stabs, two are deep, and one is particularly close to his spine. As such, in every way, the star faced a life-and-death situation.
Incidentally, this is not the first time that the Hindi cinema icon has faced such a situation. At the age of 36, he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Lilavati amid much panic.
In 2007, Saif Ali Khan complained of severe chest pain and upon his admission to the hospital, doctors immediately performed an ECG and detected an irregular heartbeat, confirming that he had just experienced a heart attack. By good fortune, the severity of the same was mild and he was declared out of danger not long after.
Khan had, however, suffered that mild heart attack because of his work ethic. As per his sister, Soha Ali Khan, the actor had worked continuously for days and did not take any breaks for performance rehearsals concerning an award show. Moreover, he also did not take any rest while he was on flights during that time, leading to a heart attack because of over-exhaustion.
Meanwhile, in the current stabbing case, police are actively probing several angles, including a possible insider attack.
