Will Smith expresses desire to work in Bollywood, wants to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan!

Bollywood may be thousands of miles from Hollywood, but for Oscar-winning actor Will Smith, the distance feels increasingly irrelevant. While promoting his latest National Geographic series in Dubai, Smith once again hinted at a long-standing ambition- stepping into Indian cinema.

Looking Beyond Hollywood

Smith has long spoken about his interest in stories that cross borders, and Bollywood remains high on that list. During his interaction with Gulf News, he highlighted Indian cinema’s global reach and admitted that collaborating with its biggest stars is still very much on his personal wish list.

A Shout-Out to the King of Bollywood

The conversation naturally turned to Shah Rukh Khan, whose international appeal Smith openly admires. More than admiration, however, Smith revealed he had already taken a proactive step. “I want Shah Rukh to put me in something, Shah Rukh what's up,” he said, a remark that quickly caught fire online and sent fans into crossover speculation mode.

Shah Rukh Khan Focused on His Next Big Release

At the moment, SRK is immersed in King, an action-packed project helmed by Siddharth Anand. The film also features Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and an ensemble cast, with a theatrical release expected later this year.

Almost-Projects From the Past

This isn’t Smith’s first brush with Bollywood. He shared that earlier conversations with Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan once hinted at potential collaborations, though none ever progressed to completion.

“I was talking to Salman. We had things we were talking about. I was trying to get into something with Big B, you know. He told me I could be Big W, so we were cool - we were sharing the title. There were a couple of things over the years... nothing panned out,” he added.
