Bollywood celebrities today shared some interesting posts to mark National Handloom Day.  A-listed stars like Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra, Yami Gautam, Sonam Kapoor tweeted support to this movement. Earlier in the day, Smriti Z Irani, the Union Cabinet Minister for Textiles and Women & Child Development asked Indians to celebrate India's legacy.

In her tweet, the former television actress writes, "Handloom can enrich our daily lives and surroundings in many ways; from clothing to furnishing to Masks in COVID times to wall hanging. Bring home handmade in India! I take pride in celebrating India’s legacy, I am #Vocal4Handmade. Are you?."

Leading Bollywood actresses Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra, Yami Gautam, and Sonam Kapoor joined Smriti Irani to promote Vocal4Handmade. Priyanka Chopra extended her support to National Handloom Day through a tweet. In her post, she writes, "Indian handlooms are known to be unique and a work of craftsmanship. Let's lend our support to the weavers and artisans of the textile industry."
