Tom Cruise has received all the needed clearance for shooting his next movie in space. The Hollywood superstar will make the trip to space with the help of Elon Musk's SpaceX company.
Reportedly the Mission: Impossible star will make the trip in October 2021 along with director Doug Liman.
Tom Cruise and Liman To Travel To International Space Station
The flight can accommodate three persons at a time. Hence there are chances that apart from Cruise and Liman one more member of the team may travel to space to shoot scenes of the yet unnamed flick.
The team will travel to the International Space Station of Musk's Axiom Space Crew Dragon capsule. Liman and Cruise announced this movie for the first time in May this year. At that time NASA's administrator Jim Bridenstine tweeted how excited he was to work with Cruise.

The administrator wrote, "We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA’s ambitious plans a reality.” In reply Musk said that this process “should be a lot of fun”. Apart from directing this movie, Liman is reportedly also working on its script. To be bankrolled by Universal Pictures the estimated budget is around $200m.

The 58-year-old superstar is known for his action-adventure movies. The project is still in its early stages. However, Cruise has a history of delivering action-packed scenes. Considering that this movie is sure to include all the high-octane excitement associated with the superstar.
Once after getting injured during a stunt Tom Cruise even said, "I spent years training for these things and I have been doing it for years. So we do everything we can possible to limit any kind of mistakes and we are very thorough about how we approach these things and calculate it. When you are going, there are times I'm not wearing a helmet and we are going high speed."
Earlier he climbed the Burj Khalifa skyscraper for a scene in Ghost Protocol. For Mission: Impossible- Rogue Nation, Cruise surprised fans by hanging on to the side of a plane.
