Naagzilla update: Kartik Aaryan wraps poster shoot, filming begins from...! Deets inside

Kartik Aaryan is all set to embrace a new mythical avatar as a shape-shifting serpent in Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain’s upcoming creature comedy-drama, Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand. As per sources, Kartik has completed the poster shoot for the much-awaited film, and the cameras are scheduled to roll soon.

Official Announcement and Release Timeline

According to the latest reports by Pinkvilla, Kartik Aaryan’s photoshoot in a Mumbai studio today marked the beginning of his exciting journey with Naagzilla. A source close to the production revealed, “Filming will roll from November 1.”

The Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor is reportedly thrilled about taking on such a unique and unconventional role. Officially announced in April 2025, Naagzilla is slated for a theatrical release on August 14, 2026, aligning with both Independence Day weekend and Naag Panchami.

As seen in the announcement teaser, Kartik will be seen as Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichchadhaari Naag, promising a never-before-seen transformation on screen.

Mrighdeep Singh Lamba Directs the Serpent Saga

Helmed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the filmmaker celebrated for his signature humor in the Fukrey series, Naagzilla marks his first venture outside the beloved comedy franchise. Industry buzz suggests that if the audience response is strong, Naagzilla could evolve into a multi-film fantasy-comedy franchise.

Dharma and Mahaveer Jain Join Hands

Produced jointly by Mahaveer Jain Films and Dharma Productions, this project marks the first-ever collaboration between Mahaveer Jain and Karan Johar. The duo reportedly plans to explore more large-scale projects together following Naagzilla. While the complete cast lineup is yet to be officially announced, sources indicate that Ravi Kishan has been roped in for a significant role.

Kartik Aaryan’s Upcoming Films

After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik’s next release will be Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Ananya Panday.
